System Installation

A new system is a 15-year decision. We size it from a Manual J load, match the coil and condenser, and seal the duct connections so the SEER2 on the sticker shows up on the thermostat.

What is included

  • Load calculation, not a rule-of-thumb tonnage
  • Matched indoor and outdoor equipment
  • New pad, disconnect, and whip where required
  • Permit pulled and inspection scheduled
  • Old equipment hauled away

Full system replacements typically start around $7,800, quoted after the survey.

Common problems

  • Oversized systems

They cool fast, leave the house clammy, and die early. We size for the load.

  • Mismatched coils

The efficiency rating only holds when the indoor coil is the one the manufacturer listed.

  • Leaky returns

A new condenser on a leaky attic return just pulls in 130°F air. We seal what we touch.

How a visit goes

  1. 01

    Survey

Square footage, windows, insulation, and how you actually use the rooms.

  2. 02

    Options

Good, better, best with SEER2, AFUE or HSPF2, and a monthly number.

  3. 03

    Install day

Drop cloths, a clean changeout, and the house left colder or warmer than we found it.

  4. 04

    Commission

Charge, airflow, and a thermostat lesson. Paperwork for rebates included.

“Install crew was on time, the old unit was gone the same day, and they stayed to show my parents the thermostat in person. Financing terms matched the quote.”

“Alicia walked the Manual J at the kitchen table and talked us out of a second system. One right-sized changeout and the upstairs finally matches the downstairs.”
